Werewolf Slained

I can't get over how many beautiful images they have in this movie. In this particular scene the werewolf is slain by one of the vampire hunter which he also is a vampire himself. I chose this image because I like the angle of this shot through the werewolves legs. As the werewolf is dieing and bleeding the vampire hunter poses after his final blow. It amazes me how these artists can still come up with these certain angle shots while drawing these images. That just shows that there is a lot of thinking that contributes to these animation rather than just drawing beautiful images.

Hiding from the rain

In this scene after a battle with some demons the vampire hunter hides under a huge tree to avoid the rain. I chose this image because again it was a beautiful image that just incorporated everything so well from the different types of objects to the different types of colors. Even though it doesn't look like it, it is actually pouring in this scene but it's hard to see the rain because it moves so fast and as i was capturing this scene, they just look like blurry streaks coming down. But the image as you look at it now, looks like it was meant to be drawn this way; how weird is this.Realistically, if you take an actual picture in out in the rain it would be almost the same exact thing and this is what really boggles my mind. This is such a beautiful image still of a long shot showing part of the forest being drenched by the rain.

Die for Love

In this scene a vampire falls in love with a human lady and risks his life to be with her. As he is being burnt and consumed by the sun he stumbles onto his knee to protect her from these vampire hunters that were after her. Even though his was a very touching scene this image made the scene much more emotional. With the beautiful colors and and the sun setting it was very well thought out and drawn out. The red sky and the red mountain made this image look so real and beautiful as well. This was a great medium shot just capturing them both from the waist up just high enough to capture everything else in the background as well. Very Beautifully drawn.

" A man makes a BEAST out himself, and gets rid of all the PAIN of being a man."

This was one of my favorite Japanese animation movie. I love watching japanese anime films because they are great and fun to watch. Everything about these anime films are great going from storyline to how beautifully drawn the characters are. In this scene this man turns into a werewolf to fight and protect his master he serves. There is just something about werewolves that i love so much and this scene really astonished me when i first saw it. The man turns into a wicked werewolf with an extra mouth from his stomach and i just thought that was the coolest thing i had ever seen; a werewolf with an extra mouth from his stomach. The full moon appearing from the dark clouds in the background really made a nice finishing touch to this beast transformation.

Psychic Reader Dave

This is one of my favorite scene as well. I thought this was a hilarious scene because in this scene he shows how stupid all these people are by feeding them all these lies and they eat it up. He is trying to make fun of the famous Tarot reader Ms. Cleo. I chose this scene because not only was it funny but i like all the different costumes that he uses in his skits. He is always wearing some kind of costume to portray someone or something and he does a good job at bringing all these costumes in and using them. Costumes are a plus for any movie but it has to fit with your are doing and Dave uses his costumes wisely.

Black KKK

I love watching the Chappelle's Show because Dave Chappelle is a hilarious actor. Everything he says or does is truly hysterical and his looks add a part to that also. In this scene Dave Chappelle plays a great White Supremacist leader because he really thinks he is white. As an orphan he was also born blind and while growing up people lied to him that he was white. He had a lot of followers as a white supremacist leader because he never shows his face in public until now. In this scene he unveils his mask to his followers and they all find out that he is black. After he finds out the truth about himself he divorces his wife because she married a black person. This was not a bad medium shot of Dave but i chose this scene because i just truly thought it was a hilarious scene.

Starts to fall apart

In this scene Al Pacino 'Tony Montana" goes crazy because his sister has just been shot. He climbs onto his balcony and shoots the already dead guy that was thrown down to the first floor. This was the last epic battle at the end of the movie and this was the first victim that fell to his hands. I really like this shot because of the beautiful colors used in this scene. His suit being black portrayed his dark side completely taking over him and his white house was the innocence that was containing him. His suit being dark with a white background really made him stood out because this was such a powerful scene that they really wanted you to focus all your attention on Tony Montana; and what a better way to do it by using the correct colors to make you really feel his pain and not take your eyes off of him.

Point Blank

This was one of my favorite movie of all time. This is also my favorite Al Pacino movie and he was such a great actor in this film although this was a pretty ruthless role. In this scene Al Pacino is about to kill another guy for some drugs and this was what moved him up in the drug business. I really like this shot because he really looks like a psycho killer. Also with the blood and sweat on his face you know he's serious and obviously someone is going to die. The palm trees in the background and his shirt really goes well together also.

Men's pair skating

This is just a hilarious scene when i first saw this. In this particular scene Will Ferrel and his partner skate together for the first time. Because they were both eliminated from the Men's single they found out they that both still really want to skate and the only way for them to do so is to pair up with each other. I don't know why they didn't go looking for a girl for a partner but it made the movie more funny with two guys skating with each other. This is actually a nice medium shot of the both of them but as you can tell the partner being held up is animated into that scene of some sort. If you closely look at his head it looks weird and it looks like it was just pasted there. Even with that little flaw this was one of my favorite scene in this movie.

Will Ferrel Close Up

This was not one of Will Ferrel's best movie but i thought there were some hilarious stuff in this movie. In this particular scene Will Ferrel and his skating partner attempt to do a new and banned skating move that they came up with. This scene shows how close his partner's skating blade is to his face will attempting the move. I like this shot because even though the skate is animated the close up on the skate and Will Ferrel's face is a really nice shot. Even though that skate is not there he even looks over at the skate as if it was there; man these actors are really good in what they do and i respect that.

More than meets the eye

I chose this specific scene because it was the first time all the transformers came together in the movie. I am a really big transformer fan and i can't express how well this movie was done even though the majority of the film was animated. I still can't get over how beautiful the color of the robots are and how realistic they are. I really like this shot because there was barely enough light in the dark alley to hide the detailed animation that might be a flaw and they did a really well job on that. I mean if the robots were to be shown in broad day light in a certain scene, it can be easier to point out and see how unreal the robots are.

Cow/Tractor Tipping

I chose this picture because this was a very funny scene. I'm sure everyone's heard of cow tipping and in this scene the boys have fun with these tractors/cows by tipping them over. Again i am just completely amazed of how the color looks and how realistic the sky also looks. Computer graphics are just so beautiful and well defined in quality. When looking at the picture i can almost feel like i am there out in the country side at night with stars all around. It just amazes me how far technology has come and how fast they continue to grow. I wonder how animations will look like 2 years from now.

Michael Jordan

I have not seen a Disney film in a while and when i saw Cars i really liked it a lot. I chose this particular picture because i just love how he was imitating Michael Jordan. Whenever Michael goes for a dunk he always sticks out his tongue and it was funny to see this coming from a car. I also loved the animation and how crisp and well define the movie looks. The color and quality of the movie was very nice and by comparing this type of movie to an old Disney movie, it is just amazing how far technology has gone.

Marching into Batlle

This was a nice long shot that i liked from this movie. The soldiers were marching into battle in what looks to be a very hot day. I didn't notice anything spectacular in particular but the angle of the camera when it took this shot looked like it was very high as if from a crane. I noticed it looked hot because there were no trees around, a long dirt road, yellow and white weeds, and nothing except for waist high bushes. Putting all these things together just made it look like it was hot and everyone did not look enthusiastic at all so it seems that they still have a long trip to go.

Becoming a man

I chose this particular shot because i thought it was a nice close up of the native american. Just as he was initiated into being a man to carry his own load, one of the soldier rubs dirt on his face to show that he is now a man. The whole time he was a soldier he was always watched over like a baby and finally this time he chooses to be a man and do something he is not supposed to do in order to help his own soldier. I think the dirt just shows how that in order to be a man you have to get your face into the dirt.

Saving a life

This was also a very beautiful scene. The colors are a little darker than the previous one but i thought this was also a powerful and beautiful scene. As the sun begins to rise Violet saves the life of the boy. With a new day a new life begins. I also liked how the long shot captured the whole city in the background. It looks almost as if she is on top of the world or even floating towards heaven. Not such a good movie but contained many beautiful shots.

No FEAR

Even though this movie wasn't as good as i thought it would be i really do love the individual shots and colors that were included in the movie. The majority of the movie was obviously special effects but the colors and the special effects along with some of the graphics were amazing. In this particular scene i loved how ultraviolet looked so powerful while she was pinned down with guns. She did not look at all scare. This was just a beautiful medium shot that i really liked. When i first captured this picture i liked how she was not at all scared but when i really looked at it, the colors from this particular picture is just amazing. The sun is about to set and it looks like a battle is about to erupt. The redness in the sky means blood is about to be spilled. I don't know if that was the intention but that's how i see the scene and this was just a beautiful way of how to use colors and a sunset to symbolize what is going to be taking place.

Quick Shower

I also chose this particular scene because it was a hilarious scene. I love the long shot of how the family is taking a shower in the sprinkler. Not only do they capture just the whole family well but they also captured the sprinkler in the shot also. I thought at first it was kind of weird of how far off the family was to the right but when i looked back to the left i noticed the water sprinkler had a significance in this scene because it was also in the shot. By including the sprinkler in the scene it made the shot even more funnier.

NUTCRACKER

This was a very funny scene in this movie. This scene portrays Pure Comedy very well because Dick just got kicked in his balls. I love watching Jim Carey movies because he is such a physical comedian. He uses so much more body language in creating humor similar to the movie "The Tramp." I know that he does talk a lot too but he is known to be more of a person who would rather jump around and do something funny rather than say something funny. Jim Carey does both very well and i love watching his movies.

Drinking Beer Inside Tank

I thought this was a hilarious scene also. Even though it's obvious this is fake that the guy is drinking from inside the tank, it's just funny to watch because of his facial expression. He looks determine as if he can finish the beer. I found out that after watching the credits at the end of the movie he was actually in a tank filled with water color. I thought maybe the whole scene was an animated scene with him behind a blue screen and everything around him computerized with graphics. When i took a closer look the only thing that had special effects was the twirling whirlpool going toward his mouth just as he is drinking the beer. There is nothing really spectacular about this medium shot except that it was a very funny scene in the movie.

Drunk Pastor

I chose this particular picture because it was one of the funnier scenes in this movie. I really liked it because it was so ironic to see a pastor gamble and drink with some of his buddies. Not only were they drinking but this was right during the ceremony of a close family member who had just passed away. It was just really funny because it shows you how much they cared about the funeral. The pastor obviously was also a big drinker because he drank that big cup in one gulp.

VICTORY

I chose this specific long shot scene because here finally for once he shows he is the true victor of the nut. Throughout the whole movie the nut always conquered him somehow but here, he finally has the nut in his grasp after defeating all the piranhas for it. And again as i mentioned i really like the human facial expressions they give him.

TROUBLE

I love watching Ice Age because of the squirrel scenes that are included into the movie. Even though they have nothing to do with the movie it's just fun to watch. I chose this scene because no matter what the squirrel does he is always finding new trouble. He goes from plugging in one hole to another to stop water from coming through the ice and he thinks' he is safe. I especially like his facial expression because i just think it's very interesting how they give animals human facial expressions.

HEROIC

I chose this particular scene from 300 because this scene portrays a hero into battle beautifully. His stance and pose looks strong with a spear in one hand and a shield in the other. All of his fallen victims behind him as he marches forward, towards victory, and it seems that "victory" is in the direction of the light that is gazing upon him from the right.

Innocence

I chose this particular scene because it portrayed a lost of innocence nicely. The image almost makes her look like she is an angel with two wings but drowning in a cloud of smoke. The colors used were very dark to portray the darkness she was sinking into. What i liked the most is the two stream of smoke that looks like it is piercing through her body.

Good vs Evil

I enjoyed watching transformers more than i thought i would. I really thought the graphics were not going to be up to my expectations but it exceeded past. In this certain scene i really liked it because it showed how good stood against evil. Time to time we see that in movies and this was a really nice depiction of good vs evil. This is not the exact image that i wanted to display but it is a comparison of who is good and evil. The scene i wanted to talk about was the scene when optimus prime was getting his butt whooped and somehow he manages to find a way to defeat evil. It is a very typical ending for a good vs evil film but it was very fun to watch.

Taste of Blood

After watching the other Hannibal movies this one was by far one of the better one in exception to silence of the lambs. I like this particular scene because he gets a taste of human blood for the first time and finds out that he enjoys it or it seems that it brings him closer to his significant other that died. Not only that but it looks like it brought out a darker side to him that will reveal his true self. His whole indication and purpose of living now is to seek out revenge. This scene also shows that he has made up his mind in who he truly is and who he truly wants to be. In curiosity, i just wonder after the revenge was finished, why did he continue to kill and eat people in the other movies. I assume he just got so use to it that he couldn't control himself anymore but what really happens after revenge.

Mayans and Colors

I chose this specific scene because i like the different colors that were used and the traditional costumes the Myans wore during this sacrificial ceremony. Although i can not say that i was really drawn into the story, i did like the whole idea of seeing people in their cultural clothing and how a person was indicated by the color they were painted. I noticed that the lower class people didn't wear any color, the captured prisoners were painted blue, and the higher class people that sat at the top of the temple wore really bright colors. According to http://www.princetonol.com/groups/iad/lessons/middle/color2.htm, the native american color symbol was blue represented defeat and trouble, white represented warmth, peace and happiness, and red was the color of the sacred fire, blood, and success. Understanding these color made me understand why the villagers were white, the captured prisoners were blue, and the priests wore the color red or bright colors.
